Appointments

Home Visits

If you are housebound or too ill to come to the Practice, a doctor may visit you at home. Please phone before 11am. We normally visit in the afternoon, after the morning surgery.

Before visiting you, the doctor may phone you to check whether they can assist you over the phone in the first instance.

House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Health Centre.

Cancel an Appointment

It is important that you inform the reception staff if you are unable to attend your appointment, this will allow that appointment to be offered to another patient. If you fail to notify the Practice that you are unable to attend, you will be sent a letter informing you that you have defaulted from your appointment. Persistent defaulters maybe removed from the list.

You can also complete our appointment cancellation notification request form. This can only be used if your appointment has been arranged for more than 24 hours in advance. (excluding weekends and public holidays).

Late For Your Appointment

Please make every effort to be on time for your appointment. If you are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment you will not be seen and you will be asked to make another appointment. If you arrive within 10 minutes of your appointed time you will be seen but you will have to wait until the doctor or nurse becomes available.

Interpreter

If you require an interpreter to attend with you when you see your Doctor please notify the receptionist and she will arrange this for you.
